THIS MONTH IN UGANDA..

Twin babies safely delivered at the Kristina Health Centre!

This month, twin boys were safely delivered by our Midwives at the KHC. Born premature and weighing just 1 kg each, the boys were quickly transferred to the humidicrib after essential tests were run.

They are now out of danger, safe and sound at home with mum Atapara Joan and dad Okello Bosco.

A huge thank you to the Change Makers that support the KHC. Without your help, accessible and affordable health care in the remote Otuke district would not be possible.

Founder Julius spoke to CEO Caitlin and had a few words to share with you...

"During the COVID-19 crisis people have been suffering and many organisations have been struggling to stay open. I was worried at the start, but since then we have been able to distribute our seeds and repair 15 wells. Soon, we will begin drilling new bore holes.

I am so humbled and grateful for all of my friends in Australia who support my community so that we do not have to struggle so much. Thank you for your help"

CENTS FOR SEEDS
Village Savings & Loans Association

This is the VSLA group from Atwangwata Parish in Ogor sub country. They have been working hard to continue saving, despite COVID-19 restricting many families financially. Pictured here are some of the group with Love Mercy VSLA trainer Cathy. Despite hardship, they remain determined. d.

Another savings group in Oluro parish have been working hard to save throughout this time and have planted a field of sesame seeds with joint income! At the end of the season, the group will sell the harvest and split the money between the VSLA members, ensuring no-one misses out.
